The Real Dads Network (RDN) is hosting a week-long celebration of fathers. This 4th Annual In Celebration of Father’s Week will begin on Saturday, June 4 to June 12, 2011. The wide array of events will take place in the New York City boroughs of Manhattan, Queens, Bronx and Brooklyn. The purpose of this event is to acknowledge fathers and their commitment for providing a level of excellence to their children and communities. Derek Phillips, founder & executive director states, “The overwhelming support and attendance that we have received from past events leading up to “In Celebration shows me that RDN, a portal for positive fathers in action, is not only working, it’s making a “Real Difference” in the lives of men and families! Real Dads throughout the nation are standing strong, dispelling the negative stereotypes that fathers are not active, emotionally involved, supportive, or financially connected with their children.
